Happened to came across this movie when I was flying towards Tokyo,
after a transit from my little hometown, Singapore to Hong Kong.
(well, I wanted to watch (500) days of summer at first, but it's only catered for flights heading towards Hong Kong & I slept through the whole flight
from Singapore to Hong Kong ha.)
a screenplay adapted from 2 true stories.
it begins from Julie Powell, this lady who has got a stable job
(it's just a nicer term given to our undesirable job)
and got stucked with all the unhappiness in that little cubicle in her office.
if you were a receptionist like what I used to be and you have a little dream,
which is just to do something to getaway from what you have to but you didn't like to face in your daily life. Julie sees the similarity of herself with Julia and she had this thought of to use her way to cook Julia Child's 524 recipes with a deadline of 365 days, and blog about it.
I was so attracted to this movie that I watched it all over again
when I flew from Hong Kong back to Singapore!
Now, Le Petit Nini has decided to start out a project like what Julie did,
and give it a deadline to fulfil my little dreams that I thought I would never succeed.
last but not least, I love this little quote in this movie,
"you're the butter to my bread, you are the breath to my life!"
